How many story segments can I show in the progress bar?

Set the total number of segments (the bars at the top) and choose which one is currently playing. Earlier segments fill, the active one partially fills, later ones stay empty — matching real Snapchat.

Can I upload my own background image for the story?

Yes. The background is a 9:16 photo you upload, with a built-in crop tool to fit Snapchat's vertical aspect ratio.

Can I customise the username and time-ago label?
